Bates Township
NOTICE OF CAUCUS AND ELECTION
The annual caucus and election in Bates Township will be held at the Valley Room, Ferney, Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Caucus will start at 1:30 p.m. followed by election of officers: one supervisor, one clerk and one treasurer. Polls will close at 4 p.m. Will also be accepting bids for mowing and blading. Excepting bids for Gravel 3,000 yards or less.

Claremont Township
Claremont Township annual meeting and election of officers will be held at the Claremont Fire Hall on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 1 p.m. Any business concerning the township will be discussed. Election of officers will follow the business meeting.
The township will also be accepting bids on road maintenance for 2008. Also will accept bids for 1500-2000 yards of gravel delivered to designated areas in the township. The board reserves teh right to accept or reject any or all bids.

East Hanson Township
East Hanson will hold its annual caucus, business meeting and election on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Caucus and election from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be an election of one supervisor, clerk and treasurer.
The township will also be accepting bids for 1,000 yards, more or less, of screened and/or crushed gravel to be delivered within the township. The township will also take bids on the same date for road blading, mowing and snow removal work. All bids must be accompanied by certificate of contractor’s liability insurance. The board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Groton Township will hold its annual township meeting and election on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Groton Community Center at 1 p.m. Any business concerning the township will be discussed with election of officers following the business meeting.
Sealed bids will be accepted for 2,000 yards of screened and crushed gravel, more or less, to be delivered to specific points in Groton Township. Bids, along with certificate of insurance, are to be sent to the Township Clerk and will be opened on March 4, 2008..

Riverside Township
NOTICE OF CAUCUS AND ELECTION IN RIVERSIDE TOWNSHIP
Notice is hereby given that the annual Riverside Township Caucus and Election of Officers will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Steve Simon’s garage.
Caucus from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by election of officers from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Sealed bids will be accepted for 2,000 yards, more or less, of gravel, loaded and delivered to designated places in Riverside Township. The township board reserves the right to inspect the gravel before awarding the bid. Bids must be addressed to Bruce Sippel, Township Clerk, sealed and plainly marked “Bid for Gravel.” Separate bids will be accepted for mowing weeds along road ditches. Bidders are to furnish township with name and address of insurance agent. Bids will be opened by the Board of Supervisors, Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Steve Simon’s shop at 7 p.m. The board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Shelby Township
Citizens of Shelby Township are hereby notified that the Annual Township meeting will be held at the township hall on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, beginning at 1 p.m. for the following purposes:
To elect one supervisor for a three (3) year term, one clerk and one treasurer and to do any other business proper to be done at said meeting.
Shelby Township will also accept bids for gravel and also road maintaining, snow removal and other road work as necessary for the year 2008-2009. The gravel is to be delivered any place in the township and be delivered before August 1, 2008 and must meet the township board’s specifications. The road maintaining, snow removal and road work bids must state per hour and per mile charges and will be required to provide date and time records of all work done. Bids must be received at the clerk’s residence on or before March 21th, 2008. Bids will be opened at the township hall in Houghton on March 25, 2008 at 7 p.m. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate of Contractors Liability Insurance. The board of supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
