The Board of trustees for the Town of Claremont met in regular session on
1-9-08 in City Hall.
President Thompson called the meeting to order with Johnson, Hinrichs present.
Others present were Mike and Becky Wirkus and Darwin Ives.
The minutes of the December meeting were read and on a motion by Johnson and
seconded by Thompson were approved as read.
On a motion by Hinrichs and seconded by Johnson the following warrants were
allowed. General: IRS, fed quarterly contribution, 593.29; Northwestern Energy,
lights, 246.06; James Valley, phone, 56.94;
Groton Independent, publishing, 12.05; Charla Rye, Wage, 290.00; Darwin Ives,
9hrs, 65.00; Holland Auto, diesel, 355.88; WSSW: Northwestern Energy water and
Sewer, 230.75; First State Bank, loan pay, 500.00; Dept of Revenue, water
samples, 24.00; BDM Rural Water, water used, 469.40; Carrie Pulfrey, meter
reading, 92.35; Rural Development, loan pay, 576.00; Safety manual for employees
of the Town is complete and all have been notified that it is required reading
for each individual. Application for Malt Beverage license and Off-Sale- On Sale
and package Liquor licenses for the Third Base was placed on its first reading.
Hearing for the above applications will be held on January 24th at 7:00pm in
City Hall.
Mike and Becky Wirkus appeared requesting information on applying for a Liquor
on and off Sale License as well as package liquor and Malt Bev. license. With no
further business before the Board a motion was made by Johnson to adjourn
seconded by Hinrichs. Motion approved.
