Kavanaugh Home
Duane and Val Kavanaugh
• Val and Duane Kavanaugh’s Queen Anne home at 508 North 3rd Street was built in 1898 by a lawyer named Kenneth McKenzie. It is a three-story house with a wraparound porch and a large corner tower. With the exception of the kitchen, the house retains its original floor plan and decorative features. Those features include oak woodwork, floors, pocket doors, crown and dentil molding, fireplace mantel and china hutch. The first level includes a kitchen, bathroom, library, formal dining room, double parlor and foyer. The second floor has five bedrooms, a bathroom and a laundry room. The third floor has a family room with TV area, pool table and foosball table.
