Town of Westport General Meeting
November 3rd, 2009
The Town of Westport met on November 3rd, 2009 with Mark Van Dover, Larry Huettl, Todd Hertel, and Steven Mitzel present.
• The following expenses were presented:
City General
NWPS ($219.82), Groton Independent ($14.06), Derek Mitzel ($25.94), Mark Van Dover ($75.00), Larry Huettl ($25.00), Todd Hertel ($25.00), Steve Mitzel ($60.00)
Water
WEB ($1,045.33), Dept of Revenue ($24.00), Steve Mitzel ($20.00), Linda Jo Van Dover ($62.24)
Sewer
NWPS ($40.87), Steve Mitzel ($20.00), Linda Jo Van Dover ($20.00)
Larry Huettl made motion to pay all bills; second by Todd Hertel.
• The Public Notification & Warning System has been ordered under the 2008 Homeland Security Grant Program. Steve will submit an invoice to Brown County Emergency Management for reimbursement. The system should arrive in November.
• The next Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) meeting will be November 18th in Aberdeen. Mark Van Dover and/or Todd Hertel will be attending. The PDM committee was impressed with the first draft submitted by the Westport City Council for a project to build a dike to protect the City of Westport from flooding.
• The fee for the On-Sale & Off-Sale Liquor license has been increased from $700 to $900 for 2010.
• B&B Contracting will be doing the snow removal for Westport this 2009-2010 season.
