Board Minutes

Nov. 2, 2009

The Town Board of Frederick met on Nov. 2, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Community Center. Present were board members Tom Meyer, Dennis Kinslow, Max Kinslow, FO absent Scott Campbell. The meeting was called to order by Chr. Kinslow. Minutes of the Oct. meeting were reviewed, motion by Meyer/Kinslow to approve, motion carried. The financial report of Oct. was reviewed, motion by Meyer/Kinslow to approve, motion carried. Accounts Payable were reviewed, motion to pay all bills including the NECOG annual meeting when we get a head count, by Meyer/Kinslow, motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

Utilities: water usage seems to be going down so that may mean there are less leaks.

Streets: gravel that was ordered by the city and hauled to the Vet Clinic road will be paid to Sam's Way Trucking in the amount of $190.00. Motion by Meyer/Kinslow to pay for that haul but not the others which were not ordered by the city but done independently by the same trucker. Blading of some areas has been done.

Lagoon: Discharging has been taking place, DENR permission granted for discharge.The sewer main near the lagoon will be cleaned when the service can get here.

Landfill: Needs to be pushed up for burning. Will contact someone to do the job as soon as possible. New locks will be put on the gate as it has been discovered that unauthorized people have keys to the landfill area.

NEW BUSINESS:

No one appeared for the Frederick Forward, Historical Society, or Library.

Renewal of liquor licenses: The licenses for the Community Store and Nick's need to be renewed by Dec. 1, 2009. Motion by Meyer/ Kinslow to renew the license at the same rates as last year, motion carried.

NECOG Dinner: Will be held on Nov. 18. Need a head count before the 13th.

Correspondance was discussed about the Brown County signing project and transfer of cemetery lots to 3 parties.

Motion to adjourn by Meyer/Kinslow, motion carried.
