Town of Frederick

October 5, 2009

The Town Board of Frederick met on Oct. 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Center.Present were board members Dennis kinslow, Tom Meyer, and Scott Campbell, finance officer Max Kinslow. Also present was patron John Worthy.

the meeting was called to order by Chr. Kinslow. Kinutes of the Sept. meeting were reviewed, motion by Meyer/Campbell to approve the monthly minutes and the minutes from the 2nd appropriations reading., motion carried. the financial report of Sept. was reviewed, motion to approve by Campbell/Meyer, motion carried. Accounts payable were reviewed, motion by Meyer/Campbel to pay all bills as submitted by finance office. Two additional bills were reviewed for payment.Aberdeen Asphalt for 54,101.00 and Sam's Way for gravel. Motion by Campbell/Meyer to pay the total bill to Aberdeen Asphalt. The bill from Sam's Way included charges for gravel not ordered by the city. The portion of the bill for requested gravel at the Vet Clinic road will be paid next month.

OLD BIUSINESS:

Utilities- the park bathrooms will be winterized, water accountability is within 3000 gallons of the WEB reading. There are a few days between the WEB reader and town readings.

Streets- the paving has been done on the contracted project. Some patching will be done as weather allows.

John Worthy questioned why his driveway wasn't asphalted and was informed that would be his expense. He also inquired about removal of a diseased tree. It's location is the town's responsibility according to ordinance. The board will contact someone to remove the tree.

Manhole repair- some manholes have been relined to prevent infiltration of groundwater through the sides. It should reduce the amount of flow to the lagoon.

NEW BUSINESS:

Historical Society- no one appeared

Frederick Forward-no one present

Library- the 3rd quarter report was presented, there is no formal contract for the merger offered at this time.

Lagoon- waiting for permission to discharge, samples taken.

RESOLUTIONS ON PROPERTIES:

Two properties have been replatted and were presented to the board for their approval. Motion by Campbell/meyer to approve both replats, roll call vote: Campbell- aye; Meyer- aye; Kinslow-aye, motion carried.

HOERNER-ROBERTSON SUBDIVISION

BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of Frederick,SD, Brown County that the plat showing"HOERNER-ROBERTSON SUBDIVISION IN FREDERICK, SD" (BLK 2 Orig. Plat )having been examined is hereby approved in accordance with the provisions of SDCL of 1967, Chap. 11-3 and any amendments thereof.

GLOVER SUBDIVISION

BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of Frederick. SD, Brown County, that the plat showing "GLOVERS CONSOLIDATION SUBDIVISION IN HOWELL'S SUBDIVISION IN FREDERICK, SD."( BLK 7, Lt 1,2 12'Lt B, 18' Lt C) having been examined is hereby approved in accordance with the provisions of SDCL of 1967, Chap. 11-3 and any amendments.
