MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING –moved by Mitchell 2nd by Vietmeier to approve.  Passed

CORESPONDENCE – Notice of the State SDML meeting in Watertown in October.

A question from a resident about the proposed street & alley closings.  This is not in the city proper but on land now farmed east of the residential area.

UNFINISHED  BUSINESS -

AUDITORIUM – dirt hauling & grading should be done no later than Thursday

GRASS DUMPSTER – none available at this time.  NUISANCSE LETTERS SENT – most were acted upon.

CODE  ENFORCEMENT (title) – no change in title at this time, all letters concerning nuisances will be from this officer and will be signed by the FO and Mayor.

LIMITED USE RUBBLE SITE APPLICATION - Moved by Mitchell 2nd by Vietmeier, Passed Unanimously – Resolution to maintain a limited use rubble site at present the Burn Pit location with a separate composting area. The Application for a limited use rubble site will be completed as soon as possible. A zoning authorization for the site was signed by the board members.  This will allow yard waste to be composted.  Approval may take up to six months.  Letters of approval from several agencies need to be received.  
FEMA – Representative will meet with Mayor Vietmeier and A. Vietmeier, Wednesday August 5, 2009.  
INTERSECTION OF 1ST & BROADWAY – Mitchell will call County Hwy Department for action in this matter a letter to follow.

NEW BUSINESS - 
FIRE DISTRICT – Lon Gellhaus informed the board of the procedure for acquiring this new Fire District.   A motion by Vietmeier 2nd by Frohling to adopt a Resolution in favor of the district, passed.  A map of the Proposed District is on file at the FO office.
