Town of Claremont
The Board of Trustees for the Town of Claremont met in regular session of 6-9-09
at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall president Thompson called the meeting to order with
trustees Johnson and Hinrichs present. The minutes of the May meeting were read
and on a motion by Hinrichs and seconded by Johnson. Motion carried. On a motion
by Johnson and seconded by Hinrichs the following warrants were allowed:
General: Carla Pahl, lot sale, 599.00; Rick Pahl, lot sale, 599.00; Darwin Ives,
35 hrs. 260.00; Firetruck Asso. 1/2 annual dues, 1000.00; Northwestern Energy,
lights, 252.63; James Valley, phone service, 57.16;4 Seasons Coop,
chemicals(weed), 29.47; Gellhaus & Gellhaus, reading fee, 10.00; Groton
Independent, minutes, 12.72; First State Bank, mower loan, 532.92; Jill
Hinrichs, 9 meetings, 415.57; Shane Johnson, 9 meetings, 415.57; Charla Rye,
wage, 290.00; Petroleum Partners, 200 gal.gas, 552.00; WSSW: Northwestern
Energy, water, sewer, 371.56; Dept. of Revenue, water samples, 24.00; BDM, water
used, 432.40; Carrie Pulfrey, meter reading, 92.35; Rural Development, Loan pay,
576.00; SD Dept. of Environment & Natural Resources, drinking water fee, 60.00;
The applications for Malt Beverage On Sale & Off Sale for the Third Base and
Holland Auto have been approved for the 2009-2010 year. Discussion: additional
gravel will be purchased for streets in Claremont. Letters will be sent to
residents dealing with all terrain vehicles, scooters etc. by licensed drivers
within city limits. With no further business before the Board, a motion was made
by Hinrichs and seconded by Johnson to adjourn. Motion carried.
