The Board of Trustees for the Town of Claremont met in regular session on
5-12-09 at 7pm in City Hall. President Thompson called the meeting to order with
Trustee Johnson present- Hinrichs absent. Also present Darwin Ives. The minutes
of the April meeting were read and on a motion by Johnson and seconded by
Thompson motion carried. On a motion by Johnson and seconded by Thompson the
following Warrants were allowed General: James Valley-phone service-56.96,
Groton Independent- publishing- $12.39, First State Bank- mower payment- 526.76.
Holland Auto- parts-98.09, Mowers-blades(mower) 51.27, Charla Rye-wage-290.00,
Darwin Ives-14 hrs-100.00, Dept of Revenue- malt beverage license-$400.00, WSSW:
BDM-water used-674.80 Dept. of Revenue- water sample-12.00, Carrie Pulfrey-
meter reading- $100.00, Lenlings, Rural Development- loan payment-576.00.
Applications for Malt Beverage License for Holland Auto and Third Base were
placed on their first reading. Hearing for above applications will be held at
the next regular session of the Board in June at 7:30pm. Tom Schmidt of the Br.
Co. Sheriffs office was in attendance at the meeting to explain the laws
pertaining to 4-wheelers, motorbikes. Letters will be mailed to citizens of the
community. With no further business before the Board a motion was made by
Thompson and seconded by Johnson. Motion carried.
