MARCH 23, 2009 - JOINT CITY/COUNTY MEETING

The Brown County Commission and the Aberdeen City Council met in joint session at 5:30 P.M. in the City Commission Chambers, 123 S Lincoln Street, Aberdeen, South Dakota. Present from City were Council Members Agnitsch, Aman, Bunsness, Campbell, Hodgin, Kraft, Mitchell, Rux and Mayor Levsen. Present from County were Commissioners Sutton, Wiese and Fischbach. Absent Commissioners Hansen and Elliott.

ORDINANCE NO. 09-03-02/374:
On motion by Mitchell and seconded by Aman, the City unanimously voted to approve First Reading of Ordinance No. 09-03-02/374.

Moved by Sutton, seconded by Wiese to approve First Reading of Ordinance No. 09-03-02/374, An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1164 to rezone the following described property from its present zoning designation of Section 701 (A-1) Agricultural District and Section 714 (M-AG) Mini-Agricultural District to Section 714 (M-AG) Mini-Agricultural District: Lot 1, Breezy Acres Subdivision in the SE ¼ of Sec 8-T123N-R64W of the 5th P.M., Brown County, SD. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.

FLOOD UPDATE:
Robin Bobzien, Aberdeen City Engineer presented brief update on conditions in and around Aberdeen, based on information from the National Weather Service and Emergency Management. Preventive measures should be taken in case conditions change rapidly.

Moved by Sutton, seconded by Wiese to adjourn the Brown County Commission. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.
