APRIL 14, 2009 – CONSOLIDATED BOARD OF EQUALIZATION

Members of the Brown County Commission, Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeen School District 6-1 organized themselves as the 2009 Consolidated Board of Equalization, in accordance with SDCL 10-11-66 at 1:30 P.M. on April 14, 2009 in the Commissioner’s Chambers, Courthouse Annex, Brown County, South Dakota. Oaths of Office were taken by Tom Fischbach, Burt Elliott, Duane Sutton, Duane Alm and Mike Levsen. Mary E Worlie, Director of Equalization was also in attendance. Auditor Maxine Taylor called the meeting to order and called for nominations for Chairman.

Mayor Levsen nominated Commissioner Fischbach as Chairman for the 2009 Consolidated Board of Equalization. Moved by Alm, seconded by Sutton that nominations cease and a unanimous ballot be cast. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.

Commissioner Sutton nominated Mayor Levsen as Vice Chairman for the 2009 Consolidated Board of Equalization. Moved by Elliott, seconded by Sutton that nominations cease and a unanimous ballot be cast. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.

Moved by Sutton, seconded by Levsen to acknowledge receipt of letters from owners of the Auto Plaza Condos. All members present voting aye. Motion carried.

The Chairman declared the Consolidated Board of Equalization recessed until 10:00 A.M., April 28, 2009.
