NOTICE TO TRUCK DEALERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received in the Chambers of the
Brown County Board of Commissioners at the Court House Annex, Aberdeen, South
Dakota, 57401 until 8:45 A.M. on April 14, 2009. At that time and place, all
bids will be publicly opened, read, and considered by the Brown County Board of
Commissioners, for furnishing and delivery of One (1) New Current Model 2010, In
Production, Tandem Axle Semi Tractor. Delivery shall be made F.O.B. to Brown
County.
Envelopes containing bids shall be addressed and delivered to the Brown County
Auditor, Brown County Court House Annex, 25 Market Street, Aberdeen, South
Dakota, 57401. Bids are to be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope:
“Bid on One (1) New Current Model 2010, In Production, Tandem Axle Semi Tractor”
to be opened on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at 8:45 A.M.
Proposal Guaranty: The proposal guaranty required and which must accompany
each bid is a certified check, a cashier’s check or bank draft certified by a
national or state bank, and payable at sight to Brown County, South Dakota, in
the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, or in lieu
thereof, bidder may furnish a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid, such
bond to be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in South Dakota,
and payable to Brown County, South Dakota.
Price and quality are the determining factors in awarding contracts. In
determining the successful bidder, the lowest or most advantageous price upon
grade, quality, or quantity and general conditions specified, shall be the
determining factors.
The Brown County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject
any or all bids which they deem to be in the best interest of Brown County.
Brown County is exempt from all Federal Excise Tax and State Sales Tax.
Specifications are on file in the Brown County Auditor’s Office, and the Brown
County Highway Department Office, and may be obtained at no charge.
