NOTICE TO ROAD EQUIPMENT DEALERS
Sealed bids will be received in the Chambers of the Brown County Board of
Commissioners at the Courthouse Annex, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401, until the
hour of 8:45 AM on Tuesday, May 05, 2009, at said time and place all bids will
be publicly opened, read, and considered by the Brown County Board of
Commissioners for furnishing and delivery of One (1) New 2009 Articulated Motor
Grader, FOB Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Envelopes containing bids shall be addressed to the Brown County Auditor, 25
Market Street, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401, and are to be clearly marked on the
outside of the envelope: “BIDS ON ONE (1) NEW 2009 ARTICULATED MOTOR GRADER” to
be opened on Tuesday, May 05, 2009 at 8:45 AM.
Proposal Guaranty: The proposal guaranty required and which accompany each bid
is a certified check, a cashier’s check of bank draft certified by a national or
state bank and payable at sight to Brown County, South Dakota in the amount of
five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, or in lieu thereof, bidder may
furnish a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid, such bond to be issued by a
surety company authorized to do business in South Dakota and payable to Brown
County, South Dakota.
The Brown County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject
any or all bids which they deem to be in the best interest of Brown County.
Brown County is exempt from all Federal Excise Tax and State Sales Tax.
Specifications are on file in the Brown County Auditor’s Office and the Brown
County Highway Department Office (phone: 605-626-7118) and may be obtained at no
charge.
