Sealed bids will be received in the Chambers of the Brown County Board of
Commissioners, Brown County Courthouse Annex at Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401
until 9:00 A.M. CDT, September 29, 2009, at said time and place all bids
will be publicly opened, read and considered for labor and material required
for the Brown County Landfill Shop 5 Building Project.
All divisions of the work are to be included in one prime construction
contract. Envelopes containing bids shall be addressed to the Brown County
Auditor, 25 Market Street, Ste 1, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401, and are to
be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as Bid for “BROWN COUNTY
LANDFILL SHOP 5 BUILDING PROJECT” to be opened at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday,
September 29, 2009. Faxed bids will not be accepted.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or draft
in the amount of 5% of the base bid including deducts, such check to be
issued by either a state or a national bank and payable to Brown County, SD,
or in lieu thereof a bid bond for 10% of the amount of the bid, such bond to
be issued by a surety authorized to do business in this state payable to
Brown County, SD, as a guaranty that such bidder will enter into a contract
with Brown County.
Brown County will give notice to the successful bidder that his proposal has
been accepted, and said bidder shall within ten (10) days thereafter enter
into a contract with Brown County and furnish a Performance Bond in an
amount equal to the contract price.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any
irregularities therein.
The complete set of contract documents, including drawings and
specifications, is on file at the Office of the Brown County Auditor,
Aberdeen, South Dakota: Builders Exchanges listed in the Instruction to
Bidders; and at the office of Hula Design/ Build LLC, AIA, 9 2nd Ave,
Aberdeen, South Dakota. Copies may be obtained upon payment to Hula
Design/Build LLC in the amount of $40.00. All payments are non-refundable.
