MARCH 31, 2008 - JOINT CITY/COUNTY MEETING
The Brown County Commission and the Aberdeen City Council met in joint session
at 5:30 P.M. in the City Commission Chambers, 123 S Lincoln Street, Aberdeen,
South Dakota. Present from City were Council Members Agnitsch, Aman, Bunsness,
Campbell, Hodgin, Kraft, Mitchell, Rux and Mayor Levsen. Present from County
were Commissioners Feickert, Fischbach and Wiese. Absent Commissioners Knecht
and Hansen.
ORDINANCE NO. 08-03-01/361:
On motion by Mitchell and seconded by Agnitsch, the City unanimously voted to
approve Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 08-03-01/361.
Moved by Fischbach, seconded by Feickert to approve Second Reading and Adoption
of Ordinance No. 08-03-01/361, An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1164 to
rezone the following described property from its present zoning designation of
Section 701 (A-1) Agricultural District to Section 714 (M-AG) Mini-Agricultural
District: Lot 7, Block 1, Richmond Heights Subdivision in the SE ¼ of Sec
32-T124N-R64W of the 5th P.M., Brown County, SD. Roll call vote: Commissioners
Hansen-absent, Fischbach-aye, Feickert-aye, Knecht-absent, Wiese-aye. Ordinance
adopted.
SET HEARING DATE:
On motion by Rux and seconded by Aman, the City unanimously voted to set hearing
for Ordinance No. 08-04-04/362 and Ordinance No. 08-04-05/363.
Moved by Feickert, seconded by Fischbach to set date for joint public meeting of
the Brown County Commission and Aberdeen City Council for 5:30 p.m. on April 21,
2008 in the City Council Chambers, 123 S Lincoln Street, Aberdeen, SD for First
Reading of the following: Ordinance No. 08-04-04/362, An Ordinance to rezone the
following property from Section 701 (A-1) Agricultural District to Section 714
(M-AG) Mini-Agricultural District: Lot 1, Evelo’s Second Subdivision in the NW ¼
and the S ½ of Sec 29-T123N-R63W of the 5th P.M., Brown County, SD (Currently
the 996.83’ of Lot 1, Evelo’s First Subdivision and 4 rods lying west of quarter
line to north section line). Ordinance No. 08-04-05/363, An Ordinance to rezone
the following property from Section 701 (A-1) Agricultural District to Section
714 (M-AG) Mini-Agricultural District: N. 990’ of the W. 1,320’ of Bierman First
Subdivision in the NW ¼ of Sec 33-T123N-R63W of the 5th P.M., Brown County, SD.
All members present voting aye. Motion carried.
COMBINED ELECTION AGREEMENT:
On motion by Mitchell and seconded by Kraft, the City unanimously voted to
approve a Combined Election Agreement with Brown County and the Aberdeen School
District.
Moved by Fischbach, seconded by Feickert to approve and authorize the Chairman
sign Agreement between Brown County, Aberdeen School District 6-1 and the City
of Aberdeen for the purpose of conducting a combined election as provided under
the provisions of SDCL 9-13-37, 13-7-10.3 and 12-2-5 on June 3, 2008. All
members present voting aye. Motion carried.

Moved by Feickert, seconded by Fischbach to adjourn the Brown County Commission.
